Echo was preparing to raise it’s Series A funding and required an experienced Operations executive to join the founders and development a road-map for the full automation of Echo’s operations and fulfilment.
Roger Hassan joined Echo from HelloFresh, where he led the global fulfilment function overseeing production, logistics, property infrastructure, operations technology and food safety. Roger had good domain experience having previously worked for his father’s pharmaceutical wholesale business.
Roger made an immediate impact on Echo’s internal operations. He very quickly took on a wider remit which including strategy, before being invited to step into the CEO role where he led the successful trade sale to Lloyds Pharmacy Group.

Benevolent AI wanted an experienced Chief Executive Officer to take the reigns from the founder, Ken Mulvany. The brief was for a highly experienced operator from the technology sector well suited to a science orientated, deep tech business. Combined with a commercial and strategic focus, the CEO would be capable of carrying the vision and mission of the company. It was important that they understood the value of IP.
Jerome Pesenti Co-founded Vivisimo, a company that was acquired by IBM. Jerome then led the creation of IBM’s AI cloud unit where he managed a team of 300 AI engineers. He led two acquisitions before joining Benevolent to run the Technology business unit as CEO.
Jerome Pesenti joined Benevolent.AI excited by the mission. Within a few months, he had reorganised the teams, changed the management structure and brought in new ways of collaboration that were felt right across the organisation. He opened an engineering hub in New York.

The investors wanted a new CEO to take advantage of the growth opportunities with contactless payments and bring new energy and rigour to the business at a critical phase of international scale.
Previously Nuno was part of building up Opera Software to one of Norway’s leading Tech companies. His latest role was scaling up OPay, an international Mobile payment business within the group.
At Meawalet Nuno took charge of the international commercial development in the company, announcing new funding of 10 million NOK from its major shareholder Idekapital not long after he joined.

iZettle was growing rapidly in Europe and wanted to establish a lending business, a model its US competitor, Square had followed. The brief was to find a commercially oriented, entrepreneurial Product executive who could work alongside one of the founders to establish iZettle Capital, a lending business leveraging it’s SME POS data.
Justin Drees was a Senior Product Manager at Klarna, where he led the creation of its Checkout product and its UK launch. He went on to found his own food-tech business before joining iZettle.
Within 9 months, Justin had designed, tested and launched iZettle Capital. He remained on the board for two years and has subsequently taken on an expanded role as Product Director overseeing all payments, hardware and financial services product lines.

With an ambition to close a Series A fundraise, Forecast needed an experienced commercial leader that had scaled from 0-10 million ARR to lead their journey.
Rob, is the previous GM EMEA for BounceX (now Wunderkind) where he was the first senior hire on the ground outside the US. An American born and bred, he scaled their EMEA operations from $0-$10 million ARR and developed their playbook across both SMB and Enterprise. Prior to this Rob was the CRO of Opt-Intelligence where he scaled their brand tenfold.
After joining Forecast, Rob has brought his expertise to the leadership and is devising new growth strategies, playbook and growth mindset to the London operations. In his first four months, Forecast has scaled at 20% month on month and will be raising a substantial Series A in 2021.

The Head of Product will drive the development of products that delight users and be the champion for a product-first culture in the company. The person will lead the strategy, and execution of new products, packaging and pricing through experimentation to drive aggressive growth and increase Greenely’s user and customer base.
Joakim Gronvall is a tech entrepreneur that has co-founded several consumer tech companies. He successfully led Yell’s transition from being a physical phone book into a digital platform in Russia. Pre Instagram, he also co-founded Bilddagboken, which was the instagram of the Nordics with almost 5m UMVs every week, and over 500.000 photos being uploaded every day. Prior to Greenely Joakim was the CEO and co-founder of Triple, a B2C platform that enables travellers to book unique city activities created and hosted by people living there.
Joakim started his role in August and is already impacting the team. We look forward to seeing what he can achieve in coming the coming year.
